At an awards ceremony, Lawrence gave a speech where she mentioned about the humiliating and degrading experience she had with casting directors and producers. She shared that she was told to lose 15 pounds of weight in two weeks to get a role and it was practically impossible. She would have to do a nude lineup with some other women who were thinner than her. When she went to the producer to complain he said that she was not fat and was perfectly fuckable, she felt trapped and could not take a stand as she risked her career.
